Fortun and Santos Law Offices was established in 2004, initially known as Raymond Fortun Law Offices. The firm was founded by Atty. Raymond Parsifal A. Fortun, a distinguished attorney and graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Law. Atty. Fortun gained national prominence for his pivotal role on the defense team during the historic impeachment trial of President Joseph Estrada—the first in Philippine history. Through this and numerous other high-stakes cases, Atty. Fortun developed a reputation as one of the country’s leading litigators, skilled in navigating sensitive and controversial legal matters.

Initially structured as a sole proprietorship, the firm evolved into a legal partnership in response to growing demand for its services. Atty. Fortun brought in his trusted associate, Atty. Angelo Niño B. Santos, as his first partner, forming what is now known as Fortun and Santos Law Offices. Atty. Santos, a top graduate of the Lyceum College of Law – Makati, was admitted to the bar in 2007. His consistent dedication and success in complex legal cases earned him this partnership, underscoring his expertise in civil, labor, and administrative law.

The firm's growth continued in 2018 when Atty./Dr. Anna Liza R. Juan-Barrameda joined as the firm’s second partner. With an impressive background that combines both law and healthcare, Atty. Juan-Barrameda holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law and is also a licensed Doctor of Optometry from Centro Escolar University. Before joining Fortun and Santos, she served as a Partner IV at an Ortigas-based law firm where she gained extensive experience in litigation across criminal, civil, corporate, labor, and intellectual property law. Her dual expertise in law and optometry adds a unique perspective to the firm's offerings, particularly in cases involving healthcare regulations and professional licensure issues.

In 2020, the firm promoted Atty. Sarah Joan M. Abraham to partner. Atty. Abraham completed her Bachelor of Laws degree at San Beda College of Law – Alabang, ranking among the top ten in her class. Her career began with a specialization in intellectual property rights enforcement, followed by corporate legal work in a holding company managing a diverse business portfolio. Recognizing her passion for litigation, she joined Fortun and Santos, where her expertise in corporate, civil, and intellectual property law has since been invaluable.

In 2024, as the firm saw growth and expansion, it promoted two members, Atty. Christine Bernadette U. Cruz and Atty. Ernest P. Levanza, to the position of partner.

Atty. Cruz earned her Bachelor of Laws degree from San Beda College of Law – Alabang. She is an experienced legal professional specializing in Corporate Law and Civil Law in the Philippines. With an excellent track record in both litigation and advisory capacities, she has established a reputation for delivering strategic, practical, and compliant legal solutions customized to meet the needs of businesses and individuals. She serves as a reliable legal advisor for corporations, SMEs, and private clients, possessing extensive experience in managing a variety of contract portfolios, from high-value commercial transactions to routine operational agreements. She possesses extensive knowledge in contract drafting, review, negotiation, and lifecycle management, focusing on risk mitigation, regulatory compliance, and alignment with client objectives. She holds licenses as a real estate broker, is a certified data privacy officer, and serves as an AMLA compliance officer.

Atty. Ernest Levanza earned his Bachelor of Laws degree from the College of Law at De La Salle University. His primary area of specialization is Criminal Law, concentrating on the defense and prosecution of criminal cases in the Philippine trial courts, appellate courts, and quasi-judicial bodies. He has established a solid reputation for delivering sound, principled, and effective legal representation in cases involving violations of the Revised Penal Code, special penal laws, and other related statutes. He is also a certified data privacy officer and certified compliance officer.

As of 2025, the firm is composed of a team of 20 lawyers with diverse legal expertise, collectively handling the full spectrum of client needs across various practice areas.
